Religious Affairs
WELCOME
For almost a century, the NAACP has maintained a robust connection with the religious community, considering it one of its closest allies. The Religious Affairs Committee actively engages with Religious Leaders to organize workshops on religious affairs, providing education to pastors, churches, and religious leaders about the NAACP's history and programs. The committee also offers moral and ethical perspectives on the civil rights struggle, exploring the church's connection to this struggle across various denominations.
The Committee's Current Priorities
Advocate for an educational initiative aimed at offering moral and ethical insights into the civil rights struggle.
Seek support from these organized religious groups for membership, fundraising, and the ongoing fight for equality and full civil rights.
Explain the efforts of the Association to organized religious groups representing diverse faiths.
Offer resource support for religious education and social action activities that contribute to the enhancement of race relations.
